Line Manager Development Programme

Great line managers are pivotal in helping businesses succeed.  Not only do they have their own operational targets to deliver, they also need to meet the individual needs of the people they manage.

Line management covers a wide range of skills and behaviours, from defining roles and objectives to ensuring that training and development needs are met, all while creating the kind of environment where people will enjoy working, are motivated to do their best and which retains talent.

This line management programme lasts 3 days and can be tailored to meet the needs of your organisation.  In the main it covers:-

  • Situational Leadership

  • Building Trust

  • Diagnosing Development Needs

  • Giving and Receiving Feedback

  • Personal Development Planning

  • Having Crucial Conversations

  • Engaging Direct Reports

The programme contains pre-work, 3 classroom days and following coaching to embed the learnings.  It is designed around the principles of blended learning:  70% on the job, 20% from others and 10% from courses or books.  Learning the tools is only part of being a good manager, you also need to be able to make them work for you and apply them successfully on the job.

“My purpose in life is to help people fulfil their potential.  If I can give managers all the tools they need to do a great job then I know that they will be successful managers and as a result will develop the people who work for them.”
“Lesley is very gifted in the area of coaching and development. She has real passion for developing both individuals and teams. This passion combined with her strong capability in diagnosing, designing and delivering training and development solutions sets her apart from others in the Learning and Development field.”
